The Killers sits us all down, gives us a talk, dusts off our shoulders, and fixes our perspective with this alt-rock synth symphony.
It's that classic build that gets me, the crescendo we all know is coming, the sound building, the guitars riffing, the synths kicking in, and the vocals rising into the stratosphere. It's overwhelming and mighty - the track feels like a church being built - piece by piece - a sanctuary of voice and drums and that almighty guitar just going skywards over everything.
"Boy" is a single so concentrated on what The Killers are, that I almost feel like I've never heard them before until now. It's always good to be reminded of something you've been missing and boy did I miss The Killers.
