Seeing that folk is back on my radar (peep my previous post), here's another beautiful release I simply had to share.
It's been over two years since Dustin Tebbutt's acclaimed debut single"The Breach" set the blogosphere, as well as Australian radio and media, alight. Since then, he has done a collaboration with fellow AustralianThe Kite String Tangle, and also released a few more singles.
On oneof these, hepaired up with anotherAustralian folk darlingThelma Plum, creating a gorgeous song called"Silk," which will immediately brighten day.
Thelma's breathy vocals paired with Dustin's slightly deepertimbrelift the track into a happier realm, despite it'sgeneral downtempo nature.The pair weave beautiful harmonies through the distinctly "Tebbut" sounding guitar, and soft brushed drumming.
Frankly, I'm surprised this song hasn't gotten more recognition.
